Chicago Tap Theatre Presents: Liaison

Chicago Tap Theatre, in partnership with Athenaeum Theatre Productions, is proud to present Liaison, an international exploration of the limits of tap dance featuring three of the most critically acclaimed companies from Europe and America: Tapage, from Toulouse, France; Tap Olé from Barcelona, Spain; and Chicago’s own Chicago Tap Theatre. Chicago Tap Theatre and Tapage have toured the south of France and performed together in Chicago twice previously. Both times were critical and commercial successes, but Liaison will showcase new ideas and original collaborations, particularly the inclusion of Tap Olé. While Tapage brings a uniquely French aesthetic to the American art of tap dance, Tap Olé offers an amazing mix of precise technique, hot rhythms and a genuine sense of humor. Chicago Tap Theatre invites you to experience the finest tap dance America and Europe have to offer as the unique approaches of three companies come together to speak the same language through tap.
