Babes in Toyland

Come celebrate the holiday season with Chicago Folks Operetta as we present the beloved classic Babes in Toyland, by Victor Herbert. This funny and captivating family friendly show has thrilled audiences around the world with its infectious melodies, whimsical storytelling and magical journey to Toyland. Follow the adventures of the two orphans Jane and Alan as they run away to Toyland to escape their evil Uncle Barnaby who is trying to steal their fortune. Barnaby hopes to turn the Toymaker against the children but things don’t go quite as planned and everything soon turns topsy-turvy. Featuring some of the areas leading opera singers, an 11 piece orchestra and the stars of our children’s operetta workshop, Babes in Toyland is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season!
