About the Show
Three worlds, three directors. GroundUp Theatre presents an early evening picnic in the park production of Shakespeare’s beloved A Midsummer Night’s Dream set in the background of New Orleans at Mardi Gras. To add a level of distinction to each of the worlds within the play, seperate directors tackle the world of the Lovers, the world of the Fairies, and the world of the Mechanicals (Bottom and the play within the pay). This shortened version is family friendly with an edge. See how voodoo magic affects the the trials and tribulations of young love and aspiring artists.
