The Painting Plays

Maybe you’ve watched writers and artists playing softball in the Hamptons… now find out what happens when they collide onstage. This multimedia benefit performance honors Guild Hall’s tradition of visual and performing arts and celebrates local talent. Come see art and theater in dialogue in this special evening of short works. A cast of East Enders led by Blythe Danner will star in the play readings. Some pieces have been invented for the occasion, some re-invented, some newly juxtaposed with other works to provide a fresh perspective.

Participants include artists John Alexander, Eric Fischl, April Gornik, Eric Dever, Clifford Ross and Jane Wilson, and playwrights Marsha Norman, Jenny Lyn Bader, Lucy Boyle, J.Stephen Brantley, and Joe Pintauro.
