About the Show

The Guild Hall presents, as part of KidFest 2004, Norman Foote in Concert. Called the “Robin Williams” of children’s folk music, Norman Foote is an award winning Canadian singer/songwriter who has received critical acclaim for his recordings, outrageous props, and off-beat sense of humor. His new CD and video release One Thousand Pennies is a collection of 13 new songs. His show has melodies, comedic stories and hilarious visual props. His songs include “Daddy Can’t Find His Keys,” “The Singing Policeman,” “Pass It On,” “Loose Tooth,” “Step on It,” “His Majesty,” and “The Baby.” He uses unique puppet-like characters who he refers to as “props with attitude,” and include the talking head, the bulldog, the creature from the Vacuum and the world’s strongest baby!
