Lichtenstein Art Workshop for Kids

Inspired by the exhibition Roy Lichtenstein: Between Sea and Sky, students will create single-frame comic works of art. Using a limited palette and simple forms, we will invent characters and combine image and text to create our pieces. Instructor Andrea Cote is a multi-media artist living on the East End. She has presented performances, installations, and exhibitions in North and South America. In the summer of 2013 she presented “Eyes on Main Street,” a large-scale multimedia community public project for downtown Riverhead. She recently received a 2014 NYSCA Creative Individuals Grant for a public project and outdoor sculpture sited for Mitchell Park in Greenport in Summer 2015. Andrea Cote has been a Teaching Artist for over 20 years.
