About This Show

The Guid Hall presents Ferdinand The Bull, performed by the Hudson Vagabond Puppets, the story of the bull who wouldn’t fight based on the book by Munro Leaf. Told with songs and dances in a narrated ballet by larger-than-life puppets. Ferdinand the Bull ends up before a matador in an arena full of flowers and again prefers to sniff instead of fight! Each scene brings to life one of the pages of the book and the puppets and scenery are based on the illustrations of Robery Lawson. Ron Hoffman, a professional clown and puppeteer formerly with Ringling Brothers Circus will stage the final contest between the Baderilleros, Picadillos, the Matador, and Ferdinand. After the performance, there will be an on-stage demonstration by the actors that will help children to learn how to resolve conflicts without violence.
