Just after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Joan, an editor, receives a phone call on behalf of Nick, a grieving fire captain who has lost most of his men at the World Trade Center. He’s looking for a writer to help him with the eulogies he must present at their memorial services. She accepts and the journey begins.
