Betrayal

Master playwright Harold Pinter’s most famous work exposes the pain a seven year infidelity causes married couple, Emma and Robert, and Robert’s “close friend” Jerry. Betrayal is best known for the innovation of the plot going chronologically in reverse. The first scene takes place after the affair has ended, while the final scene shows the tender beginnings of a relationship.
