New South Young Playwrights Short Play Festival

These short plays, performed by professional actors, feature the writing talents of the South’s best and brightest high school and college students. The young playwrights were competitively selected for this unique program based on their play submissions. Twenty high school and college student New South Play Festival Contest winners will spend one week in residence at Horizon Theatre participating in writing workshops, seminars and sessions with Atlanta’s top professional dramaturgs, actors and teaching artists. The week culminates with this Short Play Festival of new work with the plays written in residency from the high school and college students.
