Never the Sinner: The Leopold and Loeb Story

About the Show

It had a huge success off-Broadway during the 1998-99 season, going on to have several regional productions around the country. The play focuses on the famous case of Nathan Leopold and Dick Loeb, two young men from wealthy Chicago families who murdered another young man in 1924 in search of what they described as “the ultimate thrill.” Their defense attorney Clarence Darrow made a legendary defense on their behalf, which spared them the death sentence. Logan’s play examines the circumstances of the events that led up to the crime and those of its aftermath.
