Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of good food, good fun, and possibly become a murderous suspect by shooting J.R., in the Southfork Hotel’s interactive mystery comedy Shooting At Southfork showing select Saturdays. This fun-filled, interactive, murder mystery includes dinner as well as the performance. Eight lucky audience members are selected to become characters of Southfork. Scripts, background history, costume pieces and props are provided as each “suspect” must not only interact with J.R., but also try to outwit the detective by answering questions throughout the investigation.
J.R. Spewing has written a tell-all book about his life. The true stuff is bad enough, but the lies are worse and J.R. is claiming it’s all true. This angers his friends, family, and associates and they band together to stop the publication of the book. This meeting has been put together by Chris Crass, the attorney for J.R.’s publisher, Simon and Shyster, to see if a civilized agreement can be reached. But before the meeting is over J.R. is shot to death and Chris must find out who hired the gunman. Who shot J.R.?
The show was written by Robin McGee and is under the direction of Kelly Fiore. Character parts are selected at the time of reservation and at the performance.
