Titanic

Winner of five 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, Titanic emphasizes the causes, characters and conditions that led to the ship’s tragic sinking. Unlike the epic James Cameron movie of the same name, the musical’s story stays true to that night in April 1912 when the gigantic luxury liner, four days out of Southampton, England, on its way to New York, struck an iceberg. More than 1,500 of the 2,200 passengers onboard perished when the ship sank to the bottom of the frigid Atlantic.
