About the Show

Britain’s greatest female singing export is still vibrant after many years of recording and performing. Petula Clark enchants the audience with a show that draws from her huge catalog of hit singles and her extensive work in the theater. The list of her Top 10 hits includes “Color My World,” “Sign of the Times,” “My Love,” “This Is My Song,” “Don’t Sleep In The Subway,” and most especially “Downtown,” a #1 Grammy-winning hit from 1964 that has been constantly revived and quoted.

Clark has also danced with Fred Astaire in the musical Finian’s Rainbow directed by Francis Ford Coppola; worked for peace with John Lennon (who once called her his favorite singer); and played stage roles as varied as the glamorous diva of Sunset Boulevard; the governess of The Sound of Music; and the Liverpool housewife and mother of Blood Brothers. Ultimately, she is a world-class singer whose technique has been hailed by colleagues as esteemed as Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra (who once said “there isn’t any better or more polished singer anywhere.”)
