New York City
Inspired by Bravo Television’s Inside the Actor’s Studio, Inside the Broadway Musical takes an in-depth and up-close view of today’s theatre scene through those making their living in the business: the working actor. Host Kevin Connors interviews Broadway star Christopher J. Hanke (In My Life, Rent), who performs and shares his thoughts about the craft and stories of his personal journey to the Broadway stage.
Christopher J. Hanke joined the cast of Rent in August of 2006 in the role of filmmaker Mark Cohen. He made his Broadway debut last fall in the starring role of In My Life. Other New York credits include The Story of My Life at Manhattan Theater Club’s 6 @ 6 series, directed by Michael Bush; Buddy Baxter in Roberto-Aguirre Sacasa’s Golden Age; the lead role in the reading of A.R. Gurney’s Indian Blood directed by Mark Lamos, at Lincoln Center Theater; and Nick Piazza in Fame, for which he was nominated for a National Broadway Theatre Award as Best Leading Actor in a Musical.
