About the Show

Ain’t Misbehavin’ travels back to the 1930s with a rhapsodic odyssey of 30 songs either composed, collaborated on, or else simply recorded by the great Fats Waller. The show brings to life Harlem in the 1930s—the Golden Age of the Cotton Club and the Savoy Ballroom, honky tonk dives, stride piano players, and that new beat: swing. Songs include “Honeysuckle Rose,” “Keepin’ Out of Mischief Now,” “This Joint Is Jumpin’,” “I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter,” “Mean to Me,” and “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love.”
