About This Show

Everyone loves the story of Cinderella. When it’s told by the Connecticut Ballet — with music by Sergei Prokofiev — it becomes even more magical. Once upon a time, there lived an unhappy young girl. Her mother was dead, and she lived with her father, her stepmother (who did not like her) and her stepmother’s two daughters. Her stepsisters had everything they wanted, but there was nothing for our unhappy young girl — no rest, no comfort and certainly no nice clothes. Only when evening arrived, was she allowed to sit for a while by the fire, near the cinders, which is how she got her name, Cinderella.
