2006 O’Neill Puppetry Conference

About This Show

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center presents the 2006 O’Neill Puppetry Conference which features two ensemble productions.

One is directed by Bernd Ogrodnik, known most recently for his work in the international film Strings. Bernd brings a project called “Life of a Tree,” which premieres at the National Theater of Iceland in May 2007. It is a nonverbal piece built on movement, mask work and various types of puppets.

The other piece is directed by Terry Lee of the performance group “Green Ginger.” Terry presents a radical take on Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood in a reduced version. He uses larger-than-life-size puppets, with actors, singers and dancers.
