this Pulitzer Prize-winning play centers around Elwood P. Dowd, a happy man whose best friend is Harvey, a six-foot white rabbit. When he introduces Harvey at social functions, his sister, Veta, decides it is time to commit him. The mayhem begins as Veta is mistakenly committed rather than Elwood. When given the choice to give Elwood an injection that will make him "normal," Veta realizes she would rather have her kind and carefree brother…even if it means living with Harvey.
