About the Show

Suds: The Rocking 60’s Musical Soap Opera returns, utilizing over 50 hits from the 1960s including “You Can’t Hurry Love,” “Please Mr. Postman,” ” I Say A Little Prayer,” “Chapel Of Love,” “Shout,” and “The Locomotion.” The show centers around Cindy, a young woman working at a Laundromat on her birthday. She has just been delivered some bad news by the postman – her pen-pal boyfriend has dumped her for “someone with better penmanship.” After unsucessfully attempting to commit suicide in a washing machine, Cindy is saved by her two “guardian angels,” who appear with tips on what to look for in her dream man. Possible suitors enter and exit – including the washing machine repairman, the nerdy Milt Dudman, the “dreamy” Johnny Angel, and the debonair “Mr. Right.” Many songs and hysterical laughs later, Cindy finally learns what it means to discover true love.
