About This Show

Based on John Irving’s best-seller, The Cider House Rules: Parts 1 and 2 is an epic tale spanning 70 years and featuring 31 actors playing more than 100 characters in two full-length plays. Dr. Wilbur Larch runs the St. Cloud Orphanage and is mentor and father figure to Homer Wells, an orphan who cannot get adopted. The play tells the story of Homer’s struggle to find sense in a world crowded with rules, cruelty, humor, and inspiring humanity.

Part 1 begins previews on January 17 at 7:30pm and opens Monday, January 20 at 6:45pm. Regular performances are Fridays at 7:30pm and Saturdays at 3:00pm. There are additional performances on Saturdays, January 18 and 25 at 7:30pm and Sundays, January 19 and 26 at 3:30pm. There are no performances on Friday, February 7 or Saturday, February 8.

Part 2 begins previews on Thursday, February 6 and opens on Sunday, February 9 at 5:00pm. Regular performances are Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3:30pm. There is an additional performance on Friday, February 7 at 7:30pm.
