About this show

On the heels of a busy year, with two albums, two top ten singles and three consecutive US tours, Grammy Award nominee David Gray is excited to announce plans for his highly anticipated Lost and Found tour. "The Lost and Found tour embodies more than just an opportunity to play some of the quieter, more intimate songs, not only from 'Foundling' but from across my catalogue." said David. "It will provide a long anticipated platform for a completely different approach. In terms of the way that the sound of the music is captured and presented, it will be more like a recording session than a gig in many ways. Acoustic instruments will be mic'd up for their real sound, rather than going for the usual pick-up sound, and as a result volume levels both for the band and the audience will have to be kept much lower than at your average rock show. Hopefully the sonic results will be more than worth the sacrifice of a few decibels. Essentially, Lost and Found show will be a listening experience." David Gray has established himself as one of the UK's leading music artists both at home and overseas. With a career now spanning over fifteen years, David's commercial success is also backed up by a critical consensus and countless accolades. His 2009 release "Draw The Line" was met with critical praise and garnered the artist a series of high profile television appearances, as well as two sold-out tours of the US. "Foundling," Gray's ninth studio album picks up where "Draw the Line" leaves off, creating a new chapter of lush, soulful songs that find Gray returning to his folk music roots. Notching a number nine debut on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, "Foundling" marked Gray's highest release position of his career and was met with critical praise by Entertainment Weekly who describes it as "all warm arrangements and real emotion," while USA Today says "'A Moment Changes Everything' is his most infectious single since 2000's 'Babylon.'"
