The Piano Tuner

A blind piano tuner named Bob is summoned to tune a derelict piano in a hall somewhere out on the prairies. As he begins to tune the piano, he discovers it has been “prepared” with sounds, objects and stories that Bob must confront in order to return the instrument into tune. Every object he removes from the piano reminds him of the key events that shaped his life. Bob’s tale is a tragedy in the classic sense, recounting the harrowing fall of a man into the abyss. The Piano Tuner is a play about hope and redemption.
