About the Show

Sticks and Stones exposes connections between domestic abuse and global violence. These two one-act plays from New York City confront issues of incest, September 11th, and patriotic aggression with sobering insight. Act I is Terri Muuss’ one-woman show, “Anatomy of a Doll,” a poetic piece detailing a daughter’s struggle with incest and addiction and her determination to triumph over adversity. Act II is Athena Reich’s rock opera, “Athena Under Attack,” which takes place in NYC on 9/11 and explores contrasting political viewpoints, opposing emotional reactions and illustrates the necessity for peace.
