The First Look New Plays Festival closes with the latest play by Carey Perloff, Waiting for the Flood. This is her second play to be presented by First Look, following 2004’s Luminescence Dating — which went on to a run at New York’s Ensemble Studio Theatre in May 2005. The play revolves around a wildly disparate cast of female characters in the 1940s and present day who meet for tea as the world is on the brink of disaster.
Judith Ivey, a two-time Tony Award winner for her performances in Hurlyburly and Steaming, directs.
