Penned by Shakespeare at just 26 years of age, Titus Andronicus is often thought of as his “Tarantino” play — a youthful, populist gore-fest delighting in shock value. But the show also remains a searing tragedy of the wages of sin. In their startling modern-dress production, Renegade Theatre Experiment (RTE) suggests that Titus can, and perhaps does, happen in the shadowy underworld of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs.
