Strands of Light: A Multi-disciplinary Performance Invocation for Peace brings together dancers, musicians and storytellers for a Footloose benefit. All proceeds going to Footloose’s upcoming re-location costs. The evening weaves together fresh modern dance, live music and spoken word to create an evocative atmosphere of hope. In a world of increasing violence and incoherence, the act of making art is a political choice. This evening is
dedicated to making peace a choice. This largely improvisational performance ensemble recognizes that within all adversity lies immeasurable gifts. These artists are working in cooperation and collaboration with each other to
ensure that Footloose is able to continue presenting their invaluable live programs. Donating their talents are dancers Vitali Kononov, Pipaluck Supernova, Tia Platte, Samantha Beers; song mistress Carol Swann; pianist and improvisation
