About the Show

Almost everyone knows that President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in 1865 while watching a play, but almost no one knows what happened to the acting troupe that was on stage performing Our American Cousin when the fateful shot was fired. Jeffrey Hatcher’s Sockdology invites us backstage at Ford’s Theatre to meet the divas, drunks and ingenues who provide a fresh and often funny perspective on a familiar historical event.
