African-American Shakespeare Company presents Shakespeare’s Othello, directed by Sherri Young. Moor Industries, Inc. has a newly appointed partner in their law firm. But it’s a dangerous position for a Black man at the top when your enemies are your friends. Can Othello keep his sanity and his “place” in the corporate world when his adversaries are all around? A tragic tale of an honorable man spiraling downwards to commit a most catastrophic murder when he is manipulated into the most horrible deeds. Shakespeare’s timeless classic weaves themes of racism, power and abuse.
