The Drama Mamas presents Low Hanging Fruit, an original, dark comedy about sex written and choreographed by Jade Raybin, and directed by Jodi Schiller.
After unpacking the archetype of motherhood in their 2005 production Stretchmarks: Growing into Motherhood the Drama Mamas return to the Bay Area stage with a brand new show that tackles another hot button issue: sexual and emotional exposure in the age of the Internet.
This world premiere contemplates the intersection of sex and meaning, and why some things are better left off of BART! It tells the story of Greg, a tech support professional with a penchant for inappropriate reverie. His harrowing journey along the shifting line of sexual morality is ultimately a tale of two desires – for acceptance and the profane; from shame to expression. Greg’s story about luscious addictions is told through a vigorous combination of theater and dance, and backed by a playful musical score.
