About This Show

With The Anthony Newley Project, Kristopher McDowell shines a light on the unique life of a talented writer, director and ultimate entertainer. The show defines Anthony’s life by exploring both well known and lesser known songs from his vast repertoire. Sharon McNight directs, with musical direction by Dave Dobrusky.

Kristopher McDowell was recently honored with The San Francisco Dean Goodman Award (Leading Actor in a Musical) for his star turn in The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd. At twenty-eight years old, McDowell has worked off-Broadway, on television, and in regional theatres throughout the United States. His acclaimed cabaret shows have played the major U.S. cities and on London’d West End. In 2001 he was nominated for Outstanding Male Cabaret Debut by the Manhattan Association of Cabaret.
