Koorosh Ostowari – Grandma’s Million-Dollar Scheme

Grandma’s Million Dollar Scheme is a Comedy-Drama solo performance, based on a mostly true story, with a few fictional moments, that tells a story about race, class, greed, and our criminal justice system which has so many loopholes for white-collar criminals who never end up doing time. I draw on my interactions with my students at the local jail, and my experiences as a spiritual teacher there for 10 years, and on my journey as a Get-Rich quick real estate agent in my late twenties in San Francisco who falls victim to a grandma who has a clever scheme of her own.
