Into the Woods

Foothill Music Theatre presents Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Woods, directed by Jay Manley. The show explores what happens “happily ever after,” following characters such as Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, and Jack into the dark woods. There, they find that the moral dilemmas of the real world touch everyone. In this unusual tale, Sondheim faces the very real disappointments and defeats of loving and living, yet in the end comes in cautiously on the side of hope, family, and the ability of the human spirit to care.
