Ghosts of the River marks Octavio Solis and Larry Reeds second collaboration after the highly acclaimed 7 Visions of Encarnation, presented at Brava Theater Center in 2002. The project is inspired by Solis personal experience growing up in El Paso, Texas, and his recent extensive interviews with residents, immigrants (legal or otherwise), their families, law enforcement officers and immigration lawyers in the city. In 6 short Twilight Zone like vignettes, Ghosts of the River brings shadowy figures and memories of Solis past to life through Larry Reeds original cinematic shadow casting method.
