About the Show

Fire on Pier 32, a new play written by Jack Rasmus of the National Writers Union, and produced by Kyklos Productions, is about the International Longshoremens and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and their role in changing the face of labor in San Francisco. From the maritime and general strikes of 1934 San Francisco to the present day, this story is also about American Labor and the nature of companies’ anti-Union offensives both past and present.
