Six the Musical at Theatre School @ North Coast Rep

The Theatre School @ North Coast Rep presents a musical show with drama and comedy, the hit musical by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, SIX the Musical Teen Edition, as its next student production. SIX is a modern retelling of the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII, presented in the form of a singing competition, within a pop concert. In the show, the wives take turns telling their stories to determine who suffered the most from their shared husband, but ultimately seek to reclaim their individual identities and rewrite their stories. SIX is based on real historical events and figures, taking artistic liberties in its portrayal of these characters. The musical incorporates elements of historical fact, such as the marriages, divorces, and executions of the six queens, but brings them into a modern light, with tongue-in-cheek comedy and toe-tapping (to say the least) musical numbers.
