Two Cities, Two Voices

L.A. Theatre Works records two Los Angeles-based writer/performers and their deeply personal works in this double bill. The heart of Roger Guenveur Smith’s edgy, funny The Watts Towers Project is the enigma of Simon Rodia, the Italian immigrant who spent 33 years building his towers – and then walked away from them, never to return. In Taking Flight, Adriana Sevan tells a humorous and touching tale of friendship tested by the tragedy of 9/11.
