The Whiskey Maiden

A man who’s fallen out of the tree of life is invited to a mansion in Newport to tell the wealthy owner a story, but he can’t remember the story. It takes an encounter with a hundred-year-old captive in the attic to remind him what he’s truly there to do and, as the shadows of his past close in, his true history comes clear as his old habits reappear with bloody consequences. The Whiskey Maiden is an allegorical re-fabling of the myth of freedom and the consequences of our own desires.
