The Manor

Katherine Bates’ The Manor is a fictionalized story inspired by the true events surrounding the Doheny family and the history of the Greystone Mansion. The play chronicles the triumphs and the travails of the prominent MacAlister family during the 1920’s as they ride the tide of good fortune until an involvement in a political scandal sparks a downward spiral that ends in a senseless tragedy. Audiences will follow actors through several decorated rooms of Greystone’s first floor revealing murder, madness, and scheme gone horribly awry.
