The Magic Fire

The Magic Fire concerns a family of Austrian/Italian immigrants who find themselves trapped in the fascist system of Juan Perón and retreat into their private world of books, music, theatre, and laughter. Present-day Lise, who acts as the play’s narrator, artfully guides the audience through memories of her family, during the days of political turmoil of Juan and Eva Perón’s regime.
