The Hungry Woman: A Mexican Medea

About the Show

The Hungry Woman: A Mexican Medea is the Medea story as re-imagined and set in both the post-revolutionary southwest of Aztlan, a new nation, and outside its borders in the not-so-distant future. Gays and lesbians, even those who fought for independence, have been banished to an industrial wasteland where Medea lives with her lover, Luna and her son, Chcmool. This work goes beyond the original tale to weave an epic and poetic drama on homophobia, race, religion and revolution.
