The End of the Tour

About the Show

A frantic phone call from Jan forces her brother Andrew to return home to small-town Dixon, Illinois, "the boyhood home of Ronald Reagan," to deal with their ailing mother Mae – an irate “temporary” resident of a nursing home. As Jan struggles to leave town and reclaim her life, she and Mae attempt to navigate through their difficult relationship. Meanwhile, Andrew takes his lover on a guided tour through his childhood haunts, reliving the fear and sorrow that has impacted his life. This sometimes comic “tour”
includes a look inside the home of Jan’s soon to be ex-husband, whose best friend has unusual views on life, love and when to call the vet. Balancing humor and great pain, The End of the Tour deals with people attempting to pull themselves up and out of the disappointment that has become their lives.
