New York City
The 1940’s Radio Hour is a warm, nostalgic excursion to a kindler, gentler era. Via the strains of big band standards, audiences will step back in time to become the live, studio audience for the December 21, 1942 broadcast from the Algonquin Room in the Hotel Astor in New York City. Comedy routines and advertising jingles vie for time with lively renditions of such songs as Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Blue Moon, and I’ll Be Seeing You. Written by Walton Jones. Directed by Alan Johnson.
