Rope written by Patrick Hamilton in 1929, and filmed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1948 remains the classic of the thriller genre to this day. For the mere sake of adventure, Wyndham Brandon persuades his weak-minded friend, Charles Granillo, to assist him in the murder of a fellow student. They place the body in a wooden chest and to add spice to their handiwork, invite a few friends, including the dead man’s father, to a party.
