Putting It Together, by Stephen Sondheim, tells the story of three couples: the first couple is middle aged, established, successful; the second couple is well … young; and the third couple is somewhat young, somewhat successful — traveling the road between the other two couples. During the course of a one evening at a cocktail party, we get to know these six people … their wants, needs, desires, quirks, pet peeves… you get the idea.
