Othello, the Moor of Venice is a tale of interracial passion, jealousy, and lust that chimes of mad rage and fatal obsession. After failing to be promoted by the honorable and valiant Venetian General, the evil master manipulator Iago spins a web of illusion convincing Othello that his wife Desdemona has committed the ultimate sin–adultery. In a rage of passion, will Othello take his young bride’s life, will he murderously stalk her suspected lover, or might he decide to end it all?
Running in repertory with Venus and Adonis.
