Millennium in Black

About the Show

The Towne Street Theatre will re-open their successful Edge of the World Festival Production of Harriet Dickey’s MILLENNIUM IN BLACK to honor Black History Month. The drama is set in the year 2099 and except for the very rich and famous, African-Americans are living in unbearable conditions. Dickey’s priviledged heroine disassociates herself from the problems of the poor, but when taken back in time, she discovers she is a descendent of Sojouner Truth, and finds a new prospective on the deprivation suffered by her ancestors. -vn
