Hello And Goodbye

In Hello And Goodbye, it seems Johnny and Hester’s lives have been lived in the absence of love and, more recently, in the collapse of personal identity. After many years absence, Hester makes a surprise visit to Johnny’s apartment, but much of their evening is spent nearly missing every chance to come together. Perhaps they never see past their unadmitted family love to understand that their true salvation lies with each other.
