About the Show

God Looked Away is an eye-opening glimpse into a turbulent period in the life and career of one of America’s most beloved, prolific, and flawed playwrights: Tennessee Williams. Resisting the end of his career, Williams works to open his final play in Chicago while his hotel room becomes the setting of a battle between creation and addiction, love and sex, and immediate satisfaction and eternal legacy. Tony Award winners Al Pacino (Scent of a Woman) and Judith Light (Transparent) star in Dotson Rader’s stage adaptation of his 1985 book. Robert Allan Ackerman (Salome) directs.

Note: This production has mature content.
