About the Show

GEMPOU: A Zen Master of Living Without Arms, a compelling musical for all ages, presented in a combination of English and Japanese, that celebrates the tale of one of the most respected of Zen masters, GEMPOU Yamamoto, and his triumph in moving a nation to achieve a peace without warfare, thus facilitating the end of the Second World War. The musical was created as a way of illuminating GEMPOU’s pacific teachings about the “gracious heart of Zen” and offering a new generation and an international audience the powerful examples of the manner in which he lived and taught.
$12.00 tickets are available for JACCC members, students, teachers, military and groups of 10 or more.
